As we edge closer to the fall, I find it hard to believe that it has only been just over a year since Clerity brought the MTP and MBM (now UniKix TPE and BPE) technology and division into the fold.
Although my past year with the rehosting group pales in comparison to the 10+ years’ experience many in the company have, I have to say I continue to be pleasantly surprised by the dedication of the team and our partners as a whole - and by the tangible benefits we are able to consistently provide to customers who deploy this technology.
Over the past 12 months we have nearly doubled our delivery team and have forged several new, strategic partnerships. Looking forward, I’m very excited about the product enhancements and expanded service offerings Clerity will continue delivering to the rehosting and modernization space through both organic development and industry alliances.
In 2007, the mainframe migration, and mainframe, space in general continues to be full of ‘interesting’ news to say the least. We are still scratching our heads a bit, for instance, about what impact running Solaris on the mainframe will have in the market. However, the move towards cost-effective, efficient alternatives is clearly a path that many in the industry, including our own customers such as Planet Financial, BNP Paribas and the NYSE Group continue to pursue.

The Tunisian Post Office relies on TMI and Clerity
Faced with a growing customer base and the desire to quickly support additional service areas such as direct marketing and money transfers, the Tunisian Post Office chose to rehost its mainframe workloads to open systems. Relativity and Clerity team up
This summer, Clerity and Relativity Technologies announced a partnership to help customers enhance the business value of their existing enterprise applications.
Clerity is now an authorized reseller of Relativity Technologies’ Modernization Workbench platform and will leverage the platform to gain deeper business and technical insights into clients’ applications. This insight will help to accelerate assessment, modernization, and migration projects where appropriate.
Once modernized, Clerity will use the platform’s Application Portfolio Manager module to organize and monitor the value, cost, and risk of clients’ software assets. This helps to identify and prioritize ongoing initiatives that keep IT aligned with the business.
The Modernization Workbench provides rich technical and business insights across dozens of languages -- on mainframe, mid-range, and distributed environments -- in 70% less time than alternative approaches. The platform generates and then stores this detailed application knowledge in a standards-based repository. Organizations can leverage this intelligence to focus scarce resources on what is core to their business.
