Deutsche Rentenversicherung (DRV) administers the pensions of 57 million citizens in Germany. Four DRV divisions have moved their key pension management application from IBM® z/OS® to Clerity’s UniKix Mainframe Rehosting software running on Linux on IBM® System z® servers.
Business Drivers: The DRV was challenged to reduce operating costs as part of a 350 million euro cost-cutting mandate enacted by the German Parliament.
Solution: Migrating its central pension fund application with UniKix technology enabled the DRV to significantly reduce costs and put in place a consolidated, flexible platform for future IT initiatives.
