Clerity Expands Global Mainframe Migration and Modernization Operations with New European Appointments

Seasoned mainframe and open systems professionals strengthen services and sales divisions, support continued market growth

Chicago, IL – October 27, 2009 – Clerity, a full-service provider of mainframe migration and modernization solutions, today announced the addition of three key professionals to support expanding global operations. The appointments of Santino Spagnoli, Gerardo Massi, and Marco Ambrosini will further strengthen the delivery of Clerity’s migration and modernization products and services in Europe.

“Santino, Gerardo, and Marco will help Clerity continue to build momentum in the migration and modernization market,” said Brandon Edenfield, president, Clerity Solutions, Inc. “They bring a wealth of operational experience and a solid track record of success that will help Clerity broaden the depth and scope of our innovative technology and services.”

Santino Spagnoli joins Clerity to provide direction and management on strategic service projects, sales initiatives, and tool development. Most recently, he served as chief technology officer at High Technology World Company S.r.l. (HTWC), an Italian-based migration technology and services firm, where he led engineering development and modernization projects. Spagnoli specializes in mainframe and open systems legacy migration impact analysis, as well as complex project management and coordination.

Gerardo Massi will work with Clerity customers and partners, with a focus on the German market. Massi brings a 30-year track record of success to Clerity and has worked for companies, including HTWC and Siemens, in a variety of IT consulting, sales, systems engineering, and management roles. At Siemens, he was a key player in the development of CICS-compatible transaction processing monitors for Siemens BS2000 and UNIX platforms. Throughout his career, Massi has led numerous large-scale migration projects and is well-versed in assessing and addressing the complete technical and financial issues involved.

Marco Ambrosini will serve as the focal point for strategic European migration and modernization opportunities and will support both Clerity-led and partner-driven engagements. Prior to Clerity, Ambrosini was a pre-sales manager at BluePhoenix Solutions, focused on rehosting and IMS modernization. Based in Italy, Ambrosini has extensive experience directing and supporting the entire sales process.

“In the past year, we have completed several major migration projects while expanding our solution portfolio to include new platforms, compilers, tools and SOA offerings,“ continued Edenfield. “As Clerity looks to the future, these experienced professionals will play important roles in the continued growth of our organization.“
