Washington, DC – July 15, 2010 – Clerity, a full-service provider of mainframe migration, modernization, and optimization solutions, today received Microsoft's 2010 Technology Momentum Award for its UniKix Mainframe Rehosting software. Clerity was chosen from Microsoft's top platform modernization partners for its mainframe migration solution for Microsoft Windows environments.

The award recognizes UniKix for its ability to run online and batch mainframe workloads on the Microsoft Application Platform. Migrating to a UniKix software environment typically enhances IT agility and reduces annual operating costs by 30 to 70 percent for mission-critical mainframe applications.
"Organizations with IBM System z servers are migrating to the Windows Application Platform to more competitively address their business requirements and significantly reduce their costs," continued Ellsworth.
Recently, a US government agency selected the UniKix software and Clerity's migration services to move four mainframe applications to a Microsoft Server environment. By migrating to a Microsoft .NET Framework and decommissioning the IBM mainframe, the agency expects to enhance IT agility and save more than $3 million, or about 70 percent of current operating costs for these applications, over the next five years.
