PRESS RELEASE
Telenium and Clerity jointly approach the mainframe application rehosting market in Spain and Portugal
The agreement will allow Spanish and Portuguese companies with mainframe applications to rehost development, data and operations to open systems platforms, while preserving existing investments and reducing total cost of ownership.
October 18, 2007 - Telenium, a Spanish-based company focused on delivering IT services, has publicly announced its alliance in Spain and Portugal with Clerity Solutions, Inc., a company specializing in rehosting mainframe applications to open systems platforms with lower cost of ownership and higher performance, flexibility and scalability.

Under this agreement, both companies will address the growing migration market from proprietary to open systems such as UNIX and Linux with a portfolio of solutions that re-implement business processes under open standards-based network infrastructures.

Rehosting allows the execution of home grown as well as acquired applications on open systems with no modification to development, data structures or business logic. Significant reductions in total cost of ownership (TCO) are also achieved in hardware as a result of these migrations. The suite of rehosting solutions is known as UniKix Mainframe Rehosting software and over 50% of the existing UniKix install base is found in the financial services sector.

According to Carlos Alvarez, General Director of Telenium, "The collaboration with Clerity is one more example of our focus on offering the Spanish market solutions that increase the IT contribution of their business. Thanks to Clerity’s suite of solutions, Telenium believes that rehosting will offer a viable and technologically economically attractive option for organizations in many sectors -- Insurance and Finance in particular." In addition, said Alvarez, "the migration to open platforms offers immediate economic benefits, with rapid ROI, along with improved future flexibility thanks to the more competitive surroundings of hardware suppliers, software and communications available on open systems."

Clerity is a leader in technological solutions of this scope and migrated workloads at The New York Stock Exchange and BNP Paribas, among others.

According to Cameron Jenkins, Chief Operating Office of Clerity, "Our alliance with Telenium will allow us to have a stronger offering to face the challenges of our business. As an experienced supplier, Telenium is qualified to execute mainframe migrations and to offer the specialized services that companies need to implement a solution like UniKix. This agreement is a clear example of our strategic alliances with important partners who can help us to enhance our presence anywhere in the world."
